Participation in Regional Consultation on Innovative Ideas and Knowledge Sharing
Ms. Neelu Thapa, Treasurer, SAWTEE and Mr. Prajol Joshi, Economist, SAWTEE participated in the Regional Consultation on Innovative Ideas and Knowledge Sharing, held in Kathmandu, Nepal, on 14 December 2024. The event was organized by the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), Bangladesh, in collaboration with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The consultation facilitated a deeper understanding of climate change adaptation and mitigation, universal health care systems, and technology-driven employment creation in South and Southeast Asia. Participants shared best practices and lessons learned from across the region, generating recommendations for policymakers and stakeholders on these critical issues.
Ms. Thapa moderated a session on climate change adaptation and mitigation efforts in the South and Southeast Asia, focusing on current regional efforts, knowledge sharing, and potential joint initiatives. Mr. Joshi participated as a panellist in a session on employment creation through technology in South and Southeast Asia, discussing opportunities and challenges, sharing national experiences, and exploring innovative ideas for leveraging digital literacy.
